I don't know that I signed a waiver, but I hope I've not given the impression that I see myself as a victim of carelessness. Quite the opposite. I feel that I received top-notch care at Shouldice Hospital. The legal system forces perfectly good doctors to have to frame some of their advice in carefully calculated terms. But strip that away and I'd say the outcome was excellent. I'd return for another operation without pause.
