Alberto Manguel

Alberto Manguel writes a reg­u­lar col­umn in Geist. He is a world-renowned trans­la­tor, an edi­tor and the author of many books, his most recent being City of Words (Anansi), The Iliad and the Odyssey: A Biography (Douglas & McIntyre) and The Library at Night (Knopf). He was born in Buenos Aires and grew up in Tel Aviv. He lived in Toronto for twenty years, and now resides in the Poitou-Charentes region of France.
