• Adoptions from China, returning to China

  Hi,
  In my child protection office we have had an interesting case of returning a child from Chinese parents to the relatives in Mainland China when the parents were unable to provide for her here in Canada. Instead of taking her into protective custody and adoption by a Canadian family, we explored relatives in China and then brought her back to China. Taking children away from their natural environment and their culture does often not lead to happy adults. You peaked my interest and I will read the book.
