Karen Connelly Wins Award

Congratulations to Karen Connelly! The Geist contributor has won a 2013 National Magazine Award.

Her piece, "The Speed of Rust, or, He Marries," received gold in the poetry category.

The National Magazine Awards have been celebrating the literary excellence of Canadian magazines for over 35 years. They are dedicated to promoting bilingual content in both print and digital publications.

The 36th annual NMA ceremony took place at the Carlu in Toronto on June 7.

Connelly's poem originally appeared in Geist 84.
