Mike Relm

I can’t say I know much about video scratching, but after this weekend’s show by San Francisco’s Mike Relm, I’m in danger of becoming a pretty darn big fan. His performance on February 5th at Great Northern Way Campus started off CODE Live, a lineup of interactive art and cutting edge music during Vancouver 2010. The British DJ duo Addictive TV and Vancouver DJ K-Tel did sets first, and you could wander around in an art exhibit in an adjoining room where there was a cash bar and a ton of art, including an Artificial Moon by Wang Yuyang.

Mike Relm and Charlie Brown

Watch out for the hit of nostalgia when you find yourself dancing to Bert and Ernie, Charlie Brown, and The Never Ending Story.

He was a veritable nerd superhero in his signature black suit and red sneakers.

Here’s a snippet of Napoleon Dynamite dancing to ACDC. The sound quality is crappy, but you have to see this.
