Magic and Mid-Fringe Buzz

After my volunteer shift at Studio 16, I flew over to Wicked Cafe to see Wicked Shorts. But that box office was closed because the show had sold out in advance. And this is what happens after the first weekend: people talk, favourite shows are shared, tickets sell, shows are added, Pick of the Fringe predictions are forecast, and time speeds up because there are only six days left. Even the Fresh Sheet was having a hard time keeping up.

My disappointment about missing one show didn't last long, as I discovered two of my favourite shows for this Fringe: Capsule, and Things that Never Happen, which is now known simply as 'the magic show.'

Boca del Lupo: I can't believe that in 20 minutes, my emotions were totally manipulated by this simple story of a man lost in space, who is found by another man lost in space, and they turn out to be the two last men in our galaxy. Alternating nights this week with Value Village.

Boca del Lupo Studio: Tuesday, Sept.
13 - Sunday, Sept. 19 starting every half hour from 7 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.,
Saturday, Sept. 18 and Sunday, Sept. 19 also from 1 to 5 p.m.

Things that Never Happen: I can't believe how good this guy is. Or how funny. Fantastic! And sit near the front.

Origins Organic Coffee: Wednesday, Sept. 15, 9:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 5:15 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, 4:50 p.m.

Other tickets that are quickly disappearing: Die Roten Punkte, Antoine Feval, Wanderlust, the Fringe version of Dr.Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Tickets for 13: The Musical are completely gone, but might reappear for Pick of the Fringe.
