  Hey Carrie - I always greatly anticipated the promo shorts. I posted about some my favourites a couple years ago here: http://www.geist.com/blogs/kris/2008/09/viff-promo-shorts. I really don't like what they've done this year. You're right - these shorts are boring, don't seem very well-executed and leave everyone wondering what what it was about, but not in a good way.
