market logic?

Coombs is not reducible to the market+emporium on the highway. This friendly, well-knit little community has a ton of other things going on, especially in the summer: a serious rodeo, a bluegrass festival drawing people from all over North America, and one of the sweetest agricultural fairs you'll find anywhere. The strip of wacky tourist capitalism that your piece highlights is just the facade. There's a lot more to Coombs if you linger.

You have to go see the birds

You have to go see the birds down the road at the World Parrot Rescue! Very cool - but loud!
