  • The sign of a [big fat] liar

A week and a half ago, the sign provided much diversionary amusement to some of us who were at an espresso bar to watch some English soccer. At the aft end of the fellow’s rig, he had a sign endorsing the Green Party.

On the same theme, but a different sign, here’s a link to a sign I photographed last week at Venables and Vernon. Someone has pasted the mug shot of the aforementioned BFL onto a graffitied real estate sale sign for an empty lot in East Van......which somehow perfectly represents the entire political and social reality of life in BC. I like to think of it as found art.

  • beautifully sad

The sign is both beautiful and sad. There is beauty in stating the obvious. So why is this man our premier? How did we create such an absurd reality?

  • Out and about

12:23 I just saw the BIG FAT LIAR sign travelling as fast as possible to the “liars” lair in Kitsilano to parade around his BIG FAT SIGN in front of the BIG FAT LIAR’s office…right by Jeremiah’s ( a good place to spy on the BIG FAT LIAR).

  • travelling liar

This man rides by my house everyday (I live on the bike route), pulling his big fat liar trailer with him everywhere he goes. Someone is staying in shape!

  • I saw him

I saw the man responsible today! He pulled his lunch (or something in a brown paper bag) from within the sign triangle and casually walked away.

On reflection, I laughed at your reference to fonts, Patty: it’s like the old saying: “to a hammer everything looks like a nail”. To a page designer everything is in fonts, I guess.
