THE EDITORS

In 1982 I was a sailing instructor in Toronto on 26-foot versions of the original Bluenose. We went to see Stan at the Groaning Board, and at intermission I asked Stan if he would play “The Bluenose” for us. Stan, being Stan, blew me off and I never got another chance to pester him, which I still regret. To this day I cannot listen to him singing without tearing up (age 61).
