Rawi Hage is the author of DeNiro’s Game, a novel that was nom­i­nated for the Giller Prize and the Governor General’s Award in 2006 and he is also a visual artist and cura­tor. His writ­ing has been pub­lished in Fuse Magazine, Mizna, Jouvert, The Toronto Review, Montreal Serai and Al-Jadid and his visual works have been dis­played in gal­leries and muse­ums around the world. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and lived through nine years of the Lebanese civil war before emi­grat­ing to Canada in 1992. He now lives in Montreal.


Both events co-presented by Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad.
