I just read Stephen Osborne’s “Grinkus and Pepper” in your Notes & Dispatches (No. 63) and have to say—wow. It gripped me and left me feeling just a little bit less hopeless, that Osborne had noticed something so important and expressed it so beautifully, while simultaneously serving as a warning to both the Grinkus and Pepper in me and the intellectual who sometimes lacks the courage to be more like them. Thank you Grinkus, Pepper and Osborne.
