Geist Columnist Daniel Francis receives Award of Merit

On April 11th, Daniel Francis, long-time Geist contributor and editorial board member, received the 2010 Award of Merit from the Vancouver Historical Society, for “his significant contributions to the history of Vancouver and British Columbia.” Danel Francis writes a regular blog, contributes often to Geist (including the new issue 76), and is the author of many books on local history, including Red Light Neon: A History of Vancouver’s Sex Trade (Subway) and LD: Mayor Louis D Taylor and the Rise of Vancouver (ArsenalPulp Press).
