James Long

James Long is an actor, a writer and co-artistic director ofTheatre Replacement in Vancouver. In 2008, his play Clark & I Somewhere in Connecticut was performed as part of the Vancouver Memory Festival, the PuSh Festival,and Toronto’s Free Fall Festival. He was awarded the  Innovation Award as well as the Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Original Script by an Emerging Playwright at the 2008 Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards.

In 2005, James Long discovered an abandoned suitcase filled with photo albums in the alley behind his house. The photographs in the albums and the process of tracing them—and even finding members of the family who “appear” in them. more »
