Sarah Leavitt


Sarah Leavitt is a writer and cartoonist and has done spot illustrations for Geist. Although Leavitt is largely self-taught as an artist and cartoonist, she has an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC. Leavitt’s first book, Tangles: A Story About Alzheimer’s, My Mother, and Me, a graphic memoir, has been published in Canada, the US, UK, Germany and France. Her prose and comics have appeared in anthologies, magazines and newspapers in Canada and abroad. Sarah is currently working on her next book, a graphic novel set in mid-nineteenth-century British Columbia. She teaches part-time in the Creative Writing Department at UBC. She lives in Vancouver and can be visited here.
