Points well taken

Your points are well taken (although in my opinion the film is less focussed on the geopolitical issues you cite than on the relationships between the three protagonists, and on the deteriorating condition of the lake itself).

Misrepresenting the film

It is not 'India's Dal Lake'! It is Kashmir's. And it is not an 'Indian woman'! The woman is Kashmiri. By denying/ignoring their identity your words are doing the same violence that the film is trying to argue against. Kashmiris have been struggling against forced domination of India for over six decades and it is terrible that people who write about the region choose to side with the oppressor, at least in the way they describe the Kashmiri struggle.

Kashmiri not Indian

What is wrong with this author. Kashmir does not belong to India. It is a internationally recognized disputed territory
