This film from Chile is supposed to be a darkly comic take on class relations but I found it tedious and empty. Raquel has lost any meaning in her life because she has no life outside of the home she cleans and cooks in. She has mistaken a job for a family, but her relationship with her employers can never be one of familial love. It takes a new maid with a huge heart to give Raquel a new lease on life. But she doesn’t really change that much and I had no pity for her before or after. I’d give this a miss.
