jeanette winterson's "why be happy"

Thank you for reviewing this book by jeanette winterson.
I first encountered 'oranges are not the only fruit', by way of a british drama presented in canada by pbs.

Being that my memory never has been that good, the best bits of the story for me were the couplings of the young lovers.
It seemed they were in a universe unto themselves and they were giddy with what they had, their bodies and there delight in each other.

Quite a positive sex ed film for the time and place it was presented, vancouver, bc., circa 1979?

My memory again, thanks patty and geist for the post/review.
