The 3-Day Novel Contest (not that I participate—I just like the concept) which is taking place right now, during Labour Day weekend.
This guy works for an alarm company and was just doing a bit of paperwork on a warm day which is why we got to see his mobile office, complete with a bit of carpeting, some cute blue curtains, a fake wood desk and shelves, computer, fax and printer. Reminded me of every union office I’ve ever been in (some of you out there will know what I mean) and I loved his old-fashioned solution to a new-tech problem: now that we can communicate over the internet there’s no excuse for taking the time to go back to the office and fill out the paperwork—we can work harder than ever and never take a break.
The new-tech solution to this problem would look something like this or like this and would definitely require purchasing more expensive gadgets than this guy did.
Now I wonder who’s high speed internet he was (ahem) borrowing?
