That darn old environment -- and loonies

Ah yes, ‘beyond the environment’ — everything’s safe out there.
But hey, am I loony or what? I can’t figure out how to apply the decals
so they’ll do anything to my loonies. They slide away as if they’ve
found an oilslick. Am I supposed to spit on them first like they’re
temp tattoos, or what?

Aussies, tankers, and loonies

Hilarious video, Patty: I’ll do what I can to send it viral. But the
‘loonie’ might apply not to our coinage, but to the Aussies. We were
there recently during the Queensland state election and one party was
called The Daylight Savings For South East Queensland Party (DS4SEQ,
obviously, for short). You could call them a one-issue party. They had
candidates in 32 of the 64 ridings. When a reporter pointed out to them
(pre-election) that they didn’t register at all with the poll numbers,
their response was absolutely classic: “Our own numbers don’t agree
with that”. I wondered if the Rhinos could be far behind. Cheers, and
happy blogging.
