Back in the early days, my wife Linda and I were playing a folk night at Trent University in Peterborough. Several players were scheduled to perform. An unknown named Stan Rogers asked if he could do a couple of tunes. Because he was, at that time, not established in any way, the organizers were worried they would lose the audience if he did play. How wrong they were! Stan was great, even then. We had the privilege of driving him back to Dundas where we all lived. We’ve remained fans ever since.
