A Scott Pilgrim Summer: Part 2: 8-Bit Canadian Glory

side-scrollers, you will still want to play Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. Why? Because what Canadian wouldn’t want to play a video game set in Toronto.

I only played the demo, but it seems that Ubisoft has essentially 8-bitasized the Scott Pilgrim story line. Scott meets Ramona, pixilated hearts float everywhere, and then off you go to kick the pants off the seven evil exes. It’s simple arcade-style, button-mashing violence with rainbow-colored subspace bonus rounds. You can play as Scott, Ramona, Kim, or Steve, with up to four players, and there are lots of fun things to pick up from the snowy Toronto streets to smash over the heads of your enemies. Or you can also smash other enemies over the heads of your enemies. :D The 8-bit video game soundtrack was nostalgic, but fresh. And best of all? The coins you collect? Quarters!
