Book Award Winners

Congratulations to Jonathan Ball and Marcello Di Cintio! The two Geist contributors are recipients of the 2013 Manitoba Book Awards and 2013 Alberta Literary Awards.

Ball's The Politics of Knives won a Manitoba Book Award for Poetry.

Di Cintio's A Hymn in Aramaic earned an Alberta Literary Award for short non-fiction. His novel Walls: Travels Along the Barricades received an Alberta Literary Award for non-fiction.

Since 1988, the Manitoba Book Awards have been celebrating the literary work of Manitoba writers.

The winners for this year's Manitoba Book Awards were announced on Sunday, April 28, 2013. The full list of winners can be found here.

The Alberta Literary Awards were established in 1982 to honour the writing of Alberta authors.
