Congratulations to Terri Favro and Matthew Hooton! The Geist contributors have both been nominated for a 2013 CBC Creative Nonfiction Prize.

Favros's "Icarus" and Hooton's "This Tongue" are on the English-language shortlist.

The CBC Literary Prizes are a part of Canada Writes, a CBC website dedicated to Canadian writers. The Prizes comprise three separate competitions that celebrate the best in original, unpublished Canadian writing.
