I had 45 minutes before Thursday's shift and found a 30-minute show: With Lights and Everything. Another solo show, and a cliched set-up--performer Clayton Timko enacts three characters at an audition--and although more caricature than character, there were moments when I really had a sense he was onto something. There are better things to see this Fringe, but this kid will be back, I think.

In true fringe fashion, one show is performing after all other Fringe shows are done for the night, on the edge of official Fringe-ness. Sebastian Kroon's Circus is a creepy and weird story set in 1937 about a seven-year-old who disobeys his mother to attend the circus from hell. A solo performance worth the late night trip.

And the performers have officially announced details of the cabaret, mister kinski's CABARET OF BULLSHIT, a fundraiser for the Fringe: Saturday night, 11:30pm at Performance Works. Of course, I'll be there.
