Congratulations to Geist contributors Catherine Mavrikakis, Suzette Mayr and Patrick Friesen on being shortlisted for the 2012 ReLit Awards.

Mavrikakis is nominated for Flowers of Spit and Mayr for Monoceros in the fiction section.

Friesen is a finalist for Jumping in the Asylum in the poetry category.

The shortlist for the 2012 ReLit Awards were announced on September 25.

Founded in 2000, the ReLit Awards recognize the best of poetry, short fiction and novels published by Canadian independent presses.
