Hard Work

THE EDITORS

While fishing last season, the skipper really got me into Stan. Stan was on every day; he got me through the worst days of them all. And then one day it clicked—Stan Rogers has the best line I have ever heard in any one song. It’s from the “The Field Behind the Plow”: “And Emmett Pierce, the other day, took a heart attack and died at forty-two. You could see it coming on, cause he worked as hard as you.” Do you work hard? I do.
