Last Dance

THE EDITORS

When my former high school English teacher, Mrs. Jill Peacocke, was in her twenties, she had the privilege of seeing Stan Rogers in concert. During a particularly energetic piece of music while everyone in the venue was dancing, Mr. Rogers looked down into the crowd at Jill and asked her if she would grant him the pleasure of a dance. Naturally, she obliged! Mr. Rogers died merely a month or later. Today, Jill recalls, with a twinkle in her eye, the night she danced with Stan Rogers as one of her fondest memories.
