Young Folks

THE EDITORS

When my two oldest sons were 6 and 8 years, they were bickering a bit one day. I had the radio on in the truck, and Stan’s “Barrett’s Privateers” came on. They both stopped talking and sat in total silence until the song had ended. I looked over at them and asked if they were okay, and my oldest told me that was the coolest song he had ever heard. My younger son agreed and asked if I had any music like that at home. Well, those boys are now 12 and 14 years old and they listen to todays newest bands, but every now and then I will hear Stan Rogers’s music coming from their rooms.
