We’re prairie grain farmers and folkies, I guess. We liked Stan’s music a lot. My partner’s not much given to tears, but not long after his dad died in a farm/road accident, I remember finding him weeping as he listened to “The Field Behind the Plough.” (Even though, as he pointed out, we don’t plough; we cultivate.)
