At the Winnipeg Folk Festival there was a songwriting workshop hosted by Stan Rogers. He talked about the process and then people would call out an idea/concept. Within moments, Stan Rogers would have put together a song reflecting their idea. Seeing him wandering around the grounds, willing to take time to talk to anyone who approached him, is a memory I will never forget.
