Luca Seccafien is a writer, graphic storyteller / comic artist, printmaker, facilitator / teacher, community organizer living and working on the stolen ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwxwú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ people. Their semi-autobiographical artwork reflects upon the experience of being disabled by trauma while surviving through relational queerness.
Since 2021, Luca has mentored with graphic memoirist Nicole J. Georges. They’re currently working on a graphic novel about millennial queer friendship during the end times, and excerpts have been published in Carte Blanche and Geist Magazine. Luca has a BFA from the University of Alberta (2013).
