Reservoir Dogs

The most comprehensive DVD (and the most fun) to hit my machine lately is the special edition release of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. There are so many reasons to have this DVD in your library I hardly know where to start. Among the most interesting features are the sections on the filmmakers who influenced Tarantino back when he was a clerk in a video store, writing scripts during his off-hours. He’s admitted that many of the sequences and shots in his films are “borrowed” from films that he’s watched. Oh, and there’s a delightful short film in which Reservoir Dogs action figures are used to re-create a sequence from the film. Magic.
